New Heritage Interpretation Signage: Merton Park Green Walks
We are proud to share one of our recent installation projects for the London Borough of Merton, situated along the Merton Park Green Walks path. This project involved crafting and securely installing a durable, outdoor heritage interpretation board titled "All Aboard!", which celebrates the rich railway history of the local area and the origins of Merton Park Station.
Project Highlights
Custom Metal Stand & Mounting: Designed and fabricated with robust, weather-resistant materials finished in a clean sage-green coating to seamlessly blend into the surrounding natural greenery.
High-Definition Graphics Panel: Full-colour, UV-resistant print detailing historical timelines, archival photographs, and local walk maps.
On-Site Installation: Ground-anchored cleanly along the tree-lined path, ensuring a stable, accessible, and long-lasting feature for pedestrians and local residents.
About the Project
The sign informs visitors running or walking alongside Nursery Road Playing Field about the exact route where steam trains once chugged past for over a century, tracing back to the station's opening in 1868 under local developer John Innes.
